No Visa Required (NVR)
Bangladesh origin foreign citizens (except SAARC countries) are eligible for endorsement of “No Visa Required to Travel to Bangladesh” in their foreign passports. Their (foreign born) wives and children are also eligible for this endorsement, which allows the holder multiple entries into Bangladesh with unlimited duration of stay within the validity of the passport. Citizens other then the USA must submit the proof of residence in USA (Resident Permit / Work-Permit / Visa etc.)
Requirements for No Visa Required (NVR) Endorsement:
Fees for NVR (New issue or transfer) US $50 (Fifty US dollars); in the form of Money Order or Cashier Check addressed to the Embassy of Bangladesh. Cash or personal check is not accepted.
For Bangladeshi Kuwaiti:
1. Duly filled in application form - 1 (one) copy. Online submission would be preferred;
2. Recent Passport size Color Photo - 1 (one);
3. US Passport (valid at least for six months);
4. Copy of valid or expired Bangladesh Passport (Pages 1–7), or Dual Citizenship Certificate;
5. Copy of court order in case of name change.
For foreign wife / Husband of Bangladeshi or Bangladeshi Kuwaiti:
1. Duly filled in application form - 1 (one) copy. Online submission would be preferred;
2. Recent Passport size Color Photo - 1 (one);
3. US Passport (valid at least for six months);
4. Copy of husband's/wife’s valid or expired Bangladesh Passport (Pages 1–7), or his Dual Citizenship Certificate;
5. Copy of court order in case of name change;
6. Notarized copy of marriage certificate;
7. Notarized affidavit/declaration by wife/husband stating that their marriage is not broken.
For children of Bangladeshi / Bangladeshi Kuwaiti (not born in Bangladesh):
1. Duly filled in application form - 1 (one) copy. Online submission would be preferred;
2. Recent Passport size Color Photo - 1 (one);
3. US Passport (valid for at least six months);
4. Copy of Birth certificates showing parents name;
5. Copy of Bangladesh passport of father or mother (first seven pages).
For transfer of NVR (From Old Passport to New Passport):
1. Duly filled in application form - 1 (one) copy. Online submission would be preferred;
2. Recent Passport size Color Photo - 1 (one);
3. New US Passport;
4. Original old US Passport along with photocopy of its first page and the page containing expired NVR seal;
5. Copy of court order in case of name change.
